July Storms Shower City with Tree Limbs

​July 9  --  The 2016 summer months may well be remembered for the seemingly unusually large number of storms that raged through out town.  The following photos,  taken several days following the latest storm,  show some of the storm damage to trees in the northwestern part of the city.  Because of the widespread damage,  city work crews took longer than normal to clear sidewalks and streets of the debris.  However,  there was some compensation in all the stormy weather:  lawns around the city and county seem to be greener this time of year than in past summers at this time of year.
