Farmington 39 vs. Perryville 7
The Farmington Knights opened district play with a defensive statement holding Perryville scoreless in the first three quarters of play. Cody Wright would pull in a deep pass for a 60 yard touchdown in the opening minutes of the game to set the tone early in the game and put the Knights out in front 7-0. Defense was the name of the game for the Knights with three big defensive turnovers on the night, an interception by Tycen Gray, and fumble recoveries by Ryan Barnes and Carson Sutton would top off the defensive highlight reel for the knights. Nathaniel Link finished the night with 243 yards with two touchdowns 13-18 while spreading the ball between five different receivers. Stand out Knight on offense would have to go to Cody Wright with game high stats of 164 yards of total offense and three touchdowns. With the 39-7 victory Farmington will go on the road on Friday night to face the Hillsboro Hawks in the district semifinals.
