Knights 13 vs. Parkway West 26
,The Farmington Knights (5-3) rolled into Ballwin Mo on Friday night to Face the Parkway West Longhorns who, at 6-2, had the better record in the contest. Parkway West had racked up big wins against Parkway South, Rockwood Summit, Afton, Normandy, Clayton, and University City with their only two losses coming against Ladue (8-2) 4-0 conference, and Parkway Central (8-1) 3-1 conference. The Knights' record boasts wins against Fox, North County, Sikeston, Potosi, and Clayton -- with their three losses coming to undefeated and 6th ranked in the state Poplar Bluff (9-0) 4-0 in conference, Jackson (7-2) 3-1 conference, and Cape Central (5-4) 2-2 conference. Parkway would open up the first quarter with two touchdowns but were unable to connect on extra points and would take a 12-0 lead into the second quarter. The Knights would score a touchdown in the second and take on the extra point to pull closer at 12-7 but that margin would be short lived as the Longhorns would score again -- taking a 18-7 lead into the locker room after missing yet another extra point. In the second half there was not much scoring from either side. Farmington just managed one touch down in the second half and missing the extra point while Parkway scored another touchdown and a two-point conversion to seal the deal on victory by the end of the third quarter while both teams would go scoreless in the last quarter of play. Final score was Parkway West 26 and your Farmington Knights 13. The Knights will be back in action again at home on Friday night (Oct. 20) for the opening round of districts play when they host the Perryville Pirates at 7:00 p.m.
