Knights Lose a heartbreaker to Hillsboro
In what turned out to be a "grind it out" night of football, the Farmington Knights came out on the short end of the stick -- 48-42. The one stat that would glare off the charts was the 564-372 total yards of offense favoring the Hillsboro Hawks. Even with such a disparity in total offense Farmington kept the game close and, and in fact, our team lead much of the game. Ptoblem was, the Knights defense just had no answer for Joe Garner scoring four times on the night. Farmington once again had a big game from Tycen Gray who had 160 yards rushing on 14 carries and 3 receptions for 78 yards and three touchdowns. Farmington ends its 2017 season at 6-5 while the Hillsboro Hawks will move on to play Cape Central in the class 4 District 1 Championship game on Friday night.
